Why Juanjo?

JJ Guerra is a professional golfer from the Dominican Republic, competing across North America and the Caribbean. Known for his consistency, course management, and competitive edge, he has earned dozens of professional wins and has been the Dominican Republic National Champion the past 5 out of 6 years . With a career-low round of 60 and a scoring average of 68, JJ continues to climb the ranks with a strong tournament presence and relentless work ethic.

Born and raised in Santo Domingo, Juanjo cut his teeth on the island’s windy seaside layouts, learning early how to flight wedges under the breeze and chase birdies in tropical heat. That gritty upbringing still shows in his game—fearless off the tee, creative around the greens, and cool when the leaderboard turns red.

At Nova Southeastern University he became a record-setter: seven collegiate titles, two course records (60 & 62), and a spot on the prestigious All-Nicklaus Team 2019. His 70.2 scoring average and back-to-back tournament wins propelled him to #122 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking and the #1 amateur slot across South & Central America and the Caribbean.

Turning pro in late 2019, JJ wasted no time—posting three top-10s in his first four PGA Tour Latinoamérica starts and finishing 26th on the 2020-21 money list. He’s since qualified four consecutive years for the PGA Tour’s Corales Puntacana Championship, proving he can compete on golf’s biggest stage right in his home country.

Beyond the stat sheet, Juanjo is the Dominican Republic’s go-to flag bearer, logging 30-plus international caps in Pan Am Games, World Amateurs, and Caribbean Championships. Ask locals and they’ll tell you: if there’s a national team flight, JJ’s name is on the boarding pass.

Aligning with Ferret was a natural move—both chase bold results through relentless refinement. Whether he’s testing prototype polos in 90-degree heat or repping the DryFleX™ logo on Tour, Juanjo embodies the All-In mindset that drives every Ferret drop.
